Dr. Locke leads the nonclinical development program for Elion Therapeutics and has over 17 years of biopharma industry experience and has contributed to antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal therapeutic programs encompassing discovery phase through regulatory approval. Of note, including tedizolid (SIVEXTRO®, Trius Therapeutics), CD388 (clinical-stage pan-influenza agent, Cidara Therapeutics), and rezafungin (REZZAYO®, Cidara Therapeutics). His areas of interest span characterization of resistance development, susceptibility testing methodologies and devices, and establishment of clinical breakpoints. Dr. Locke earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Puget Sound and a Ph.D. in marine biology from the University of California, San Diego.
